The Nova Scotia International Student Program offers high school education to students from around the world.
Single semester and/or full year programs are available in over 70 junior and senior high schools.
The short-term programs offered by the Nova Scotia International Student Program are 2–11 week placements of English or French education experience in Nova Scotia schools. Groups start at 10 students and are accompanied by a chaperone.
Students participating in this program are placed with a local host family.
NSEIP provides participants the opportunity to be mentored by a Nova Scotia teacher while learning new teaching methodologies in the subject area of most interest.
Students can enrol for four, eight or twelve weeks in the NSEIP, and are placed in one of Nova Scotia's public schools.
Students will end the NSEIP experience with an appreciation for current Canadian classroom resources, methodology and curriculum.
The NSISP believes the key to student success is full integration into local schools, families, and communities. To this end, the NSISP annually trains more than 100 Nova Scotian students to become student ambassadors.
